Made to Order Garters? Oh yes my little Tallulah's!

Every lady needs to feel special on their wedding day. That’s why Tallulah Love’s Bridal lingerie should be top on any Bride-to-be’s list this Christmas. Made with the finest European silk and Chantilly lace, these sets sit beautifully under any wedding dress thanks to their fantastic shaping.
Blue Birds is a gorgeous bra and knicker set, featuring a pale aqua, Blue Bird silk print (perfect for the “something blue”) and delicate ivory lace. The shape of this set provides subtle lift in the bra and the briefs are flatteringly cut. Finished with blue and white striped bows and gold Tallulah Love embroidery makes this set a truly regal piece, perfect for anyone who wants to look like a princess on their big day!

If you want to go all out glamour and want to make a lasting impression on the wedding night, try Tallulah’s Vintage Lace Ivory Corset. The Vintage lace corset is a delightful mix of finest silk complimented with Chantilly lace. Pin tucks, ribbon latticing and rose buds make this style a Tallulah must have. Corsets are sized Small A/B, Small C/D, Medium A/B, Medium C/D, Large A/B and Large C/D, and the ribbon latticing at the back means it can be adjusted to fit. The Vintage Lace Corset is perfect for anyone who wants something beautiful and regal on their wedding day, but feels they need a bit of extra support and shape.

And to add to all of these Bridal goodies, Tallulah’s now running a “Made to Order Garter” service. So for that added special touch to your wedding ensemble, contact Tallulah Love for a bespoke garter. Whether it’s your perfect colour, just the right amount of lace or that beautiful ribbon that was wrapped around your engagement ring, whatever makes your ideal garter, Tallulah can do it.
So for any brides-to-be, if you’re wanting a bit of luxury on your big day, go to Tallulah Love. Every lady should feel like a princess and Tallulah Love has the lingerie to make that happen. Go to www.Tallulahlove.com to view the full range.

Winner at the Win Awards! Best New Business!

So Tallulah Love has gone and won their THIRD award. Third, Yes, Third, award. Pretty good huh? You better believe it. Here's the press release to prove it ;

Tallulah Love – North East’s Pride
Once again Michelle Taylor, Managing Director and Creator of the successful luxury lingerie brand Tallulah Love, came top on the night at Fridays Women into the Network awards. Nominated in both the Best New Business and Best Woman in International Business categories, Michelle walked away with the much deserved title of Best New Business.
After a grueling process of being interviewed by the judges of each category and being filmed for a short nominee film, it was a great relief and joy to accept the Best New Business award on the night. After all the excitement of the awards Michelle finally got to relax and enjoy the lavish event, quoting: I’ve never been so nervous! Catwalk shows and flash mobs are definitely easier to deal with nerve wise. But it was such an honor to accept such a prestigious award. I couldn’t be happier! All the hard work, time and money is certainly paying off if I can get nominated AND win such an award.”

Michelle was especially thankful for all the help and support that helped to get Tallulah love to where it is today:  There are so many people I’d love to thank. I don’t think there would be enough hours in the day to thank them personally. I am so grateful for everything that has come my way.”

All together it has been a pretty successful week for Tallulah Love. Not only did they have the joy of the awards, but they were featured on a segment of Friday morning’s Daybreak.  Michelle provided her opinion on the financial crisis in Italy and the impact it would have on the export business.

Seeing red....

Now the fashion world is a fickle place, after all it changes every season. It's sometimes hard to keep up with the latest trends and the same goes for make-up trends! Every season, like clockwork, there is a new make-up trend to attempt. However there is one trend that never seems to date. A classic, just like nude, RED never dates, but makes a bold and beautiful statement. A good red lipstick will never go out of fashion. Get the colour right and the rest shall follow.

Gwen rocking the red

Red is a warning colour in the animal kingdom, which is why it sometimes seems like such a daunting style to try. We all have our make-up safety net, a style that you go back to time and time again (mine is the liquid eyeliner, love that cat eye flick) but sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone can be surprising. However if you follow these smart little tips I learned, it's not scary after all.

1.     Find the right shade.

Ok so there are hundreds of different shades of red, but I bet the first thing you think when I mention red, is pillar box red or fire engine red, which are orangy reds.....perfect for warmer skinned girls.

General rule to go by:

Warmer Undertone:  you have undertones of yellow to your skin. So pick a warmer shade of red so orangy reds, brown reds, yellow reds.

Cooler Undertone:  you have blue undertones to your skin. So cooler shades of red for you! Bluey reds, berry reds, nothing with an orangy base to it.

How can you tell? Turn your arm over and look at your veins! Do they look blue-ish in colour? Then you're a cool skinned girl! Have they got a greenish tinge? Hello warm skinned girly! If you're not so sure about a colour.....try it on....if it doesn't look right, don't do it. Only go with something if you're happy with it!

2. Keep the rest neutral.

Biggest faux pas with red lippy....trying to do a sexy double dip with dark eye make up. Step away from the eyeliner and dark eyeshadow, this look is only valid on Halloween. Keep it understated with a neutral eyeshadow, that blends with your skin tone. A slick of mascara is all you need for your eyes and a hint of either bronzer or blusher. Now let your lips do the rest.

3. Lip Liner

Now lip liner is a controversial thing. If done correct, it will save your lippy from bleeding and go undiscovered. Done wrong, you may end up looking like a bad excuse for drag queen or like you have a pair of cartoon red lips.

Carefully line the inside of your lips (not the skin around them) so that you've defined the shape of your lips. Try not to draw it on to strong, or it may show through your lipstick.

4. Colour me in!

You can use your lip colour straight from the tube if you feel confident enough. If you find certain parts a bit tricky to do e.g corner of mouth or your cupids bow, I find a lip brush is a god send!

So go on and have a try, you might find you like it! Sometimes it can be a great boost of confidence to try something new and then to find out that it's great! I did :)

Music Treasure - Sakanaction

One of my favourite Japanese music exports, has to be Sakanaction: from there electronic harmonies and pounding beats, to their eclectic and whimsical music videos. Sakanaction bring something new to my Ipod that some of our British/American artists don't....a sense of Individuality.

They aren't the mass produced pop creation of Simon Cowell, or a heavyweight American Diva such as Beyonce or J-lo (even though I do adore these girls). They don't have million dollar music videos, but something more fun. There is the beautifully simple Sample, a video of a fisherman. However it's the use of camera effects, colour and sound that makes it so fun! Arukaround is like a pop-up book of lyrics, in a Groundhog style loop. After watching it you find yourself in a sort of child like wonder at who comes up with this sort of idea!

If you havn't tried Sakanaction yet........I suggest you do! Lovers of anything alternative, electro and whimsical give it a try :)

Treasure of the day!

Well it's more a treasure of the night if I'm honest, but I can't sleep!

After sorting out my fabulously full underwear drawer (I actually had to get a bigger drawer recently :-O lol ) I came accross the beloved Tallulah Love Love Birds Bra. It is stunning!

It's a pink satin delight, with moulded cups for a lovely lift and gorgeous black silk ribbon straps, it's perfectly at home in any fashionistas boudoir! I love mine, it's such a comfy fit and because it's a smooth shape, it's great for wearing under close fitting tops and flirty shirts.

It's a must have girls, I advise you invest in one, managing director Michelle Taylor has had hers since she first designed them....deffinatly a keeper! You know you can trust an item if the designer herself swears by it and wears it day after day (of course she does change her bra I'm sure!)

Don't be Flakey!

Quick fix for those chapped lips!

If you're anything like me, flakey and cracked lips are soooooo annoying! When your legs or arms decide to shed more skin than a snake, the first thing you reach for is the exfoliator, followed by the moisturiser!

But moisturisers don't taste so nice and exfoliators for your body are too harsh on delicate little lips.

But here's a quick and yummy fix to sort those flaky pastry lips out! Its a simple and cheap fix, using things found in your kitchen cupboard!

You will need:

1 Teaspoon of Honey (Honey is known to have antiseptic and antibacterial properties)

1 Teaspoon of Sugar (finer sugars like caster sugar and fine brown sugar work better)
Now mix the two together to form a sort of paste and massage onto your lips.

The fun part is "Rinsing" it off if you know what I mean haha.....mmmm yummy.

Tallulah's travelling show!!!

Back in July, the Tallulah Team packed up our travelling boutique, and took it south to London town! Our lovely friends at the CiCi pr and events team set up a press day, and asked Tallulah if she'd preview a few of her goodies for all the lovely celebs to see.

With all our beautiful gifts in tow, we descended upon the exclusive members only club Jalouse, and set up our gorgeous boudoir for all to see. Located in the heart of Mayfair, Jalouse opened its doors to members of the fashion press, buyers and celebrities.
With appearances from Lucy Mecklenburg and Chloe Sims from The Only Way is Essex, Giovanna Falcone writer for Heat magazine and fiancĂ© of Tom from McFly, the Tallulah Team really sparkled. Natasha Kaplinsky and Kate Walsh made a brief visit, and the beautiful Made in Chelsea girls came for a browse through the boudoir.

Michelle (managing director of Tallulah love) with Lucy Mecklenburg from The Only Way is Essex.

Funda Onal and Cheska Hull from Made in Chelsea.
